Introducing Our 2021 Interns
Get to know the EPD Summer 2021 interns! We have selected four hard-working individuals that will assist Electronic Power Design in development, planning, and growth.
Rahul Ramavajjala
Project Management Intern
Rahul is currently enrolled at Texas A&M University, Class of 2022, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He first learned about the intern role offered at EPD as project management while observing aspects of the engineering department at the Texas A&M career fair. Rahul is most looking forward to obtaining knowledge and experience in the position at EPD. He would describe himself as an individual who enjoys being around others to gain insight to further his learning.
Andrea Alvarado
Industrial Engineer Associate Intern
Andrea is a Texas A&M graduate, Class of 2020, with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Andrea first learned about the opportunity offered at EPD as an Industrial Engineering Associate Intern at the Texas A&M career fair. She is most looking forward to the hands-on experience offered at EPD in designing and developing production layouts that best increase productivity and quality standers. Growing up, Andrea wanted to be an artist but still enjoys her passion for painting in her free time.
Lorenzo Martinez
Mechanical Engineering Intern
Lorenzo is currently enrolled at Texas A&M University, Class of 2022, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His vast experience is what prompted EPD to seek Lorenzo as a Mechanical Engineer intern. Lorenzo expressed his eagerness to learn about the production process from the beginning planning phases to the final product. Lorenzo was first inspired to be an astronaut when he grew up because of his interest in space but ultimately changed his career path to engineering.
Charity Sommer
Manufacturing Planner Intern
Charity is currently enrolled at Texas A&M University, Class of 2021, pursuing a degree in Industrial Distribution. Charity first became aware of the manufacturing planning intern role through a previous intern who spent time with EPD gaining knowledge and insight. She is eager to learn valuable information while gaining hands-on experience during her time at EPD. Charity wanted to pursue a teaching career as a kid, but her strategic planning and critical thinking led her to a career in industrial distribution.

Our team is excited to welcome the newest addition of interns to Electronic Power Design. We are confident that these four interns will uphold the values of safety, quality, competence, and customization throughout their time at EPD. The Marketing, Engineering, and Project Management departments at EPD are looking forward to providing these Aggies with learning opportunities that will assist them in their careers.
