Material Handler, Fabrication - Houston, TX

***This is a temp to hire position***

The Material Handler is responsible for all material movements for incoming materials, outgoing materials or products and inventory movements to the production floor.

The Material Handler must observe all company policies, procedures, hourly working rules, and environmental health & safety rules. All assigned work activities must be carried out to the highest level of expected production quality. The Material Handler must closely work with supervisors and leads to ensure materials are moved on time. The ideal candidate must be willing to work within a team environment and accept guidance and instruction from other team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Picking material from inventory to fill customer orders or for job kits
  • Wrapping products, packing and labeling
  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling), stage shipments, and load as necessary
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged material is accepted in
  • Operates pallet jack and/or forklift
  • Inspects inventory for defects, scratches or other damage. Report to lead and/or supervisor as necessary.
  • Moves waste to dumpsters
  • Follows policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations
  • Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet deadlines
  • Maintain production area integrity, cleanliness, and organization according to established standards
  • Other duties as assigned

 Competencies:

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and maintain focus with unscheduled interruptions
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work in non-climate controlled environments

Wiring Assembler, Manufacturing - Houston, TX

***This is a temp to hire position***

An Electrical Control Panel Wireman is responsible for coordinating and carrying out the assembly of wired panels according to established production quality standards and engineering specification. The ideal candidate must have an intermediate understanding of point to point wiring concepts and best practices, as well as, installation methods for a wide array of electrical / mechanical components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire electrical components and equipment according to engineering specifications.
  • Cut wire to specify lengths using wire cutters, then strip, bend, and mount wires to connect electrical units or devices within the component pan, enclosure, and/or other equipment.
  • Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, and install accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using hand tools.
  • Perform spot inspections throughout the process to ensure work is performed correctly the first time and that the job remains on schedule according to established due dates.
  • Finish wiring and labeling in a neat and workman-like manner. Route, twist, wrap, tie, and attach wire to terminal point and equipment.
  • Ensure all wiring is properly labeled, terminated, and secured
  • Work effectively with supervisors and leads to ensure jobs are completed accurately and within a timely manner
  • Effectively and accurately communicate any potential nonconformance within schematics, cabinet assembly, and /or point to point wiring within a timely manner to ensure a solution can be applied within the time frame of the project.
  • Enter job production details and labor entries within the company’s ERP system.
  • Maintain production area integrity, cleanliness, and organization according to established standards.
  • Perform any other work related duties that are assigned by supervisors and leads in a timely manner.

Competencies:

  • Ability to accurately & completely fill out necessary paperwork according to the established standards
  • Ability to understand instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format

Mechanical Assembler, Manufacturing - Houston, TX

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies according to established production quality standards and engineering specification. The ideal candidate must have a high mechanical aptitude and be familiar with a wide array of electrical / mechanical components and hardware.

The Mechanical Assembler must observe all company policies, procedures, hourly working rules, and environmental health & safety rules. All assigned work activities must be carried out to the highest level of expected production quality. The Mechanical Assembler must closely work with supervisors and leads to ensure projects are produced within specification and on time. The ideal candidate must be willing to work within a team environment and accept guidance and instruction from other team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assemble electrical and mechanical assemblies according to engineering specifications or drawings
  • Verify issued part numbers match engineering specifications
  • Work closely with supervisors and leads to ensure Jobs are completed accurately and within a timely manner
  • Effectively and accurately communicate any safety, quality or manufacturing issues to a supervisor in a timely manner

Competencies:

Testing Coordinator, Quality - Houston, TX

The Testing Coordinator is responsible for performing mid- and post-manufacturing quality inspections, and completing applicable factory acceptance tests on all manufactured equipment and products.  Testing Coordinators are also required to maintain all documentation and ERP system transactions so that EPD and customer specifications are satisfied.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical inspection procedures to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
  • Conduct internal and customer witnessed factory acceptance testing in accordance with standard procedures to insure that products meet required quality standards.
  • Identify manufacturing and/or engineering nonconformities in parts, equipment, or procedures, and effectively assist in the diagnoses and remedy of all issues prior to shipment of completed projects.
  • Complete and maintain all required quality check lists and functionality test procedures in an organized and timely fashion.
  • Perform all required ERP system transactions

Competencies:

  • Relevant technical qualification;
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards;
  • At least one year’s experience in product assembly;
  • Technical knowledge of the company products;
  • An ability to read technical drawings
  • Thorough knowledge of testing process;
  • Problem - solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • An ability to relate well to customers

Other Information:

  • Frequently required to work at a fast pace with occasional unscheduled interruptions or changes in priority.
  • Required to remain flexible with regards to work schedule, extended days and overtime, and evening/weekend hours in order to meet contractual shipment deadlines.
