Material Handler, Warehouse - Houston, TX

***This is a temp to hire position***

The Material Handler is responsible for all material movements for incoming materials, outgoing materials or products and inventory movements to the production floor.

The Material Handler must observe all company policies, procedures, hourly working rules, and environmental health & safety rules. All assigned work activities must be carried out to the highest level of expected production quality. The Material Handler must closely work with supervisors and leads to ensure materials are moved on time. The ideal candidate must be willing to work within a team environment and accept guidance and instruction from other team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Picking material from inventory to fill customer orders or for job kits
  • Wrapping products, packing and labeling
  • Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling), stage shipments, and load as necessary
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Responsible for quality control. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged material is accepted in
  • Operates pallet jack and/or forklift
  • Inspects inventory for defects, scratches or other damage. Report to lead and/or supervisor as necessary.
  • Moves waste to dumpsters

Mechanical Assembler, Manufacturing - Houston, TX

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies according to established production quality standards and engineering specification. The ideal candidate must have a high mechanical aptitude and be familiar with a wide array of electrical / mechanical components and hardware.

The Mechanical Assembler must observe all company policies, procedures, hourly working rules, and environmental health & safety rules. Laser Operator, Fabrication - Houston, TX

The Laser/Turret Punch Operator has primary responsibility for all set-ups and fabrication runs, ensuring safety, accuracy and timeliness all of jobs, of Amada Laser/Turret Punch machines.  Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; develops good working relationships with the supervisor, co-workers and other employees. Develops working knowledge of the fabrication environment and has ability to respond to change. Work to Continuously Improve the operations of the Department through Lean activities and Improvement suggestions.

Job Description:

Key Duties:

  • Report for work on time, every time.
  • Performs all tasks assigned for laser/turret punch setup and operation.
  • Set-up, adjust and prepare turret punch/laser combination jobs (Current machines: ENSIS and Amada EMLK).
    • Set-up includes but is not limited to:
    • Finding proper tooling per set up.
    • Check the heights of tooling and adjust.
    • Set-up and adjustment of material.
    • Locate and upload proper program from machine control.
    • Ensure optimal laser cutting conditions.
    • Provide immediate feedback, to supervisor on jobs not meeting set-up and/or production standards.
  • Work with the Supervisor and Maintenance to ensure finished products are produced in the safest, effective manner, while maintaining high quality control standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly set-up in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
  • Performs set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards.
  • Monitor equipment and tool wear, and request external maintenance when required.
  • Perform simple machine maintenance and repair as required.
  • Work with Supervisor and Programmer to make constant improvements in tooling, programs and lean activities.
  • Installs and changes out dies as required. Pulls punches and dies from turret and sharpens on grinder as needed to eliminate burrs on the final product.
  • Performs inspection of finished products, and documents results. De-burring parts with file or grinder, as needed.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Completes and maintains paperwork for parts.
  • Identify material types and thickness.
  • Operate fork lift, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
  • Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations.
  • Sets stops on machine bed, changes die, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.
  • Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
  • Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.
  • Operators will be required to maintain accurate parts and motivation on routine repetitive jobs.
  • During operations, operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of the machine.
  • In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
  • Perform inspection of finished workpiece for defects and document results.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions/programs to supervisor.
