November 2021 – We are excited to announce that Doug Williams has joined the EPD team as a Sr. Sales Engineer! Doug has over 25 years of experience in oil & gas, drilling, marine vessels, renewables, surface production, and wind & solar applications. Over the years, he has developed as an accomplished leader, communicator, and technical expert. His vast knowledge will be a great addition to our ever-growing sales team.
Doug is a proud alumn of Louisiana Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has since worked at M&I Electric Industries, Omron Oilfield & Marine, National Oilwell Varco, and Dragon Products in various managerial and vice-presidential roles showcasing his executive leadership abilities. Doug focuses on driving profitable business growth, improvements, and sustainable change in companies. His expertise lies in global business development, global operations, business models, engineering and service management, strategic and tactical planning, revenue and profit grown, joint ventures and acquisitions, product and project planning, market research and forecasting, and feasibility assessment.
What does your role at EPD consist of? What are you most excited about working here?
Doug: As a Sr. Sales Engineer my role will consist of driving sales, estimating, and best matching electrical applications with our broad product portfolio. I am most excited to be part of a winning team and use my experience to help the sales, business development group, and company continue to be successful.
With my many years of life and business experience, I most enjoy being part of a team that works hard and also has lots of fun - I enjoy sharing and learning from the team too! My motto is to find joy in everything you do in this life.
In his free time, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and pets, working with their horses, and is passionate about golf. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to travel for work and has enjoyed the many places he has visited, finding the Canadian Rockies to be the most beautiful. As a Houstonian, his favorite sports team is the Houston Astros.
