Nabil Akhtar

Nabil Akhtar brings a uniquely strategic, operations-focused approach to leading EPD’s accounting and finance organization. With expertise spanning financial strategy, reporting transformation, and operational optimization, he is dedicated to giving leadership a clear, GAAP-compliant view of true profitability and cash generation across the business. Nabil oversees the development of scalable processes and internal controls, builds high-performing finance teams, and partners directly with senior leadership on capital allocation, cost-structure decisions, and long-term value creation.

Before joining EPD, Nabil built a diverse career across management consulting, corporate finance, and tax advisory. At Deloitte Consulting, he led reporting transformation and analytics initiatives for large energy and utility clients, managed multidisciplinary project teams, and helped organizations modernize their financial systems. His prior experience includes senior roles at Mastercard, where he supported global accounting and integration initiatives, and earlier work in public accounting focused on tax strategy, compliance, and process improvement.

Nabil holds an MBA from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Outside of work, Nabil values quality time with his family and playing nearly every sport. He also spends time experimenting in the kitchen, and with a bit more seasoning (literally and figuratively), he’s confident the results will soon taste as good as the process.
