Mark Bishop

Mark Bishop has been with EPD since its earliest days, joining as the first shop employee in 1994. Over more than 30 years, he has contributed to nearly every part of the company, including manufacturing, engineering, commissioning, operations leadership, and now data analytics.

In the early years, Mark supported a variety of industrial projects for marine, plastics, dredging, and propulsion applications. As EPD expanded into offshore drilling, he played a key role in developing and commissioning power and control systems for major semi-submersibles and drill ships. He later helped establish EPD’s joint venture in China and led on-site operations during its launch.

Mark also served as President of EPD’s transformer manufacturing company before returning to Houston to help diversify the business through a new UL-listed product line in partnership with Schneider Electric. When the market faced a shortage of UL891 equipment in 2022, he shifted back into engineering to develop the initial enclosure and bus structure design that would evolve into EPD’s DFS product line.

Today, Mark leads the plant data analytics team, overseeing ERP improvements, data accuracy, system support, and the creation of tools and dashboards that improve visibility and efficiency across the company.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys hunting, cooking, and spending time with his family.
